Montana Wing Civil Air Patrol

No Area Of Civil Air Patrol Activity Is More Vital To The Success Of The Organization Than The Public Affairs Program

Mission: The Civil Air Patrol (CAP) Montana Wing Public Affairs Program’s mission is to inform our key interna
and external audiences and customers on the Montana Wing’s local, county and state missions and on the activities
and community service of CAP units in Montana. In addition, the Montana Wing Public Affairs Program seeks to enhance
the image of Montana Wing and our units within the CAP’s Rocky Mountain Region and at the national level.

Objective: The Montana Wings’ overall public affairs objective is to increase the general public awareness of the Civil Air Patrol
within Montana. Equally important is our objective to build solid external relationships that promote mutual cooperation with:

  • Local and state government
  • The military
  • State business and industry
  • Academic institutions
  • Aviation organizations
  • Civic and public-outreach groups

Methodology: Montana Wing Public Affairs personnel provide news and information in a variety of formats
utilizing traditional media and social media to reach the widest possible audience in the state.
